Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k Pro Bundle

The other new first-party accessory, the battery grip, attaches to the bottom and trebles the usage time (it holds two extra batteries whilst letting you use a third internal battery). If you want more resolution than C4K, then you have to shoot Raw and this gives a real advantage, as you can alter white balance and pull back shadow and highlight details far more effectively. But 10-bit ProRes files are also incredibly detailed, too. There is a punch-in focus button to give you an enlarged view of the scene, and a high frame rate recording button.

I took another look at the camera bodies and what you say makes sense. If I had one wish, it would be that all digital camera manufacturers would also make simpler fully manual versions of their cameras. I had a fuji XT1 a while back but I wish Nikon and Canon would do the same. My hobby is using old analogue lenses (like Contax, Pentax, fuji, Leica, Voigtlander) on different digital and 35mm film cameras. On the positive side, this mm affordable zoom lens is doing very well, optically wise. What I think can be improved is its weight (it is a rather heavy lens), and no less important (at least for me), its focal length. 25mm on a super35 sensor is not wide enough for my taste.

It can be locked to SMPTE timecode or time of day timecode, which is useful when you need to keep multiple cameras in sync while starting and stopping throughout the day. The large LCD touchscreen displays critical information on the heads up display, or HUD, as well as access to camera setup menus. The HUD lets you see and adjust settings such as the frame rate, iris, timecode, shutter angle, white balance, ISO, audio levels and more with a single tap. You can show or hide the HUD by simply swiping up or down.

‘Models Close up at Night’ is his third camera test where he checked out the camera’s ability to handle different skin tones in very low light conditions. John Brawley talks about the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K for the first time. ‘Models Walking in Daylight’ is his first camera test where he checked out the camera’s ability to handle different skin tones. Manchester based DP and camera operator, Dima Kalenda talks about using the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K and Blackmagic RAW for the first time.

Built-in Microphones and Professional Audio Inputs

Dima wanted to use the camera with only one light source, relying totally on practicals for his late night shots. Argentinean cinematographer and filmmaker, Guido Pezz recently shot and directed this beautiful tourism piece for Argentina Turismo. Tierra del Fuego is a place of serene beautiy with light reminiscent of the Arctic Circle. Guido talks about the locations they visited and the lightscape he wanted to capture with this film. He not only possesses a deep understanding of how AI can enhance production capabilities and a strong ethical compass regarding its application.

Any lense cannot work on any mount, because each mount has to have the required flange distance from the sensor in order to achieve focus. All major mirrorless mounts accept use of EF lenses with adapters. EF is not the mount of the future, and there hasn't been many new releases lately. If and when Backmagic changes mounts, I highly doubt they will move to Z mount.

The sensor utilizes the native 400 ISO setting up to 1,000 ISO. At 1,250 ISO, the camera jumps to the low noise range of the native 3,200 ISO setting. It doesn’t eliminate noise at higher ISOs, but it does buy another stop or two of usable ISO before noise is an issue in the image. We saw noise start at ISO 400 and was acceptable all the way up to ISO 6400. After that, the noise starts to dramatically affect the sharpness of the image. The full-frame 6K will record in open gate at 6048 x 4032 and the Pocket 6K will record at 6144 x 3456.

Built In Timecode Generator

You also get a removable battery door, 4 shock proof microphones, heavy duty lens mount and built in speaker. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K features a native sensor resolution of 4096 x 2160, while the 6K models have a native resolution of 6144 x 3456. Whether you’re shooting in bright sunlight or in almost no light at all, the 13 stops of dynamic range with dual native ISO up to 25,600 provide stunning low noise images in all lighting conditions. Plus the 6K models feature a larger Super 35 sensor that allows shooting with a shallow depth of field and anamorphic lenses.

I'm sure they are working on or at least planning for any future changes at this point. It will be a marketing decision based on sales forecasts. Nikon's slightly different mount diameter and flange depth don't really matter in this situation. If he majority of people don't have Z lenses then Blackmagic isn't going to use that mount. @DarkShift, Blackmagic used the EF mount because of its market dominance. They had a better chance selling this camera body using the very popular and highly available (new/used) Canon EF lenses.

Sony has announced the FE 16-25mm F2.8 G, a compact, fast wide-angle lens designed to complement its recent 24-50mm F2.8. Who wouldn't want to use the IS mechanism they've paid for to squeeze a bit more resolution our of their camera? People like Richard Butler, who question the effort/reward balance they offer. Popular photo sharing service Photobucket recently revealed that the 13 billion images it hosts online could be used to train AI models.

Works or doesn't, sometimes focus control works or doesn't, in various combinations. It's not because of the EF lens standard -- it's because of the Sony, Panasonic, Blackmagic and Z CAM bodies trying to communicate with EF with their own proprietary systems. The mount has been around for years, and so many people have successfully reverse engineered its protocols that you can find documentation on the protocol easy with minimal Google searching. In addition to this, Blackmagic was offering EF-mount bodies long before RF existed, further reducing NRE for a new body. They already have worked out all of the compatibility gotchas and warranty/customer support costs.

Time and time again, the bar for entry to professional motion production has been lowered thanks to such revolutionary technologies. Today’s film students have access to tools that yesterday’s professionals only dreamt about, and it’s only getting better. The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K has a dual native ISO, meaning there are two ISOs where noise is at its minimum. For the Pocket Cinema 4K, you have a native ISO of 400 and 3200.

Each cruise ship visit to Southampton generates ~GBP 2,7 million in economic impact, of which about half remains within the region. Knowing which terminal you are using can also assist with pre booking your Southampton long term cruise parking. Our Southampton map below depicts the location of each of the five cruise terminals. Southampton cruise terminals are very easy to access from nearby road and rail links. The terminal does not have public telephones or ATMs but there are full facilities in the Arrivals Lounge once you have checked in.

Ocean Cruise Terminal also received LNG bunkering capabilities. As of 2021, ABP operates 21 seaports plus other shipping-related businesses, annually contributes GBP 7,5 billion (EUR 8,8B / ~USD 10,4B) to the UK economy, and supports ~119,000 jobs. In mid-June 2021, ABP Southampton installed an airbridge (GBP 5 million / EUR 5,8M) at Berth 102 (Horizon Terminal). The 235-tonne airbridge (jetway) was custom-built (to automatically adjust with the tide).

Best Shore Excursions from Southampton Cruise Port

The Horizon Cruise Terminal is the newest terminal in the Port of Southampton, as it was just opened in 2021 after a £55 million investment. In October 2018 started construction works on the new (GBP 15 million) multi-deck parking with capacity 3000 vehicles. For the project was contracted Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure, with scheduled completion by June 2019. In 2023, cruise shipping in Southampton contributed the record GBP 1 billion to Hampshire's maritime economy. The season was marked by ~2,6 million cruise tourists handled during 460 ship calls. Each ship call brought ~GBP 2,7 million to the local economy.

Ascertaining the correct cruise terminal in Southampton also helps you find the best cruise parking that is closest to your ship’s berth. The essential guide and travel tips on all Port of Southampton cruise terminals. The cruise terminal project is contingent on the successful authorization of a new lease at Terminal 5 which is scheduled for review at the Northwest Seaport Alliance’s March 19 meeting. While cruise ships usually dock at the same terminal each time, this isn’t always the case. Sometimes, a ship can depart from one terminal and return to another.

Tudor House & GardenTudor House & Garden is a Grade I listed building located in St Michael’s Square on Bugle Street. It was established as Southampton’s first museum in 1912 and today offers visitors a glimpse into more than 800 years of history. It was built in the late 15th Century and is Southampton’s most important historic building. When you arrive on a cruise ship at Southampton Cruise Terminal, you have quite a few choices on how to spend your day.

With clear signage and staff on hand, every step of the way has been thoroughly thought out. If you’re heading to Seattle for a cruise, you’ll want to take advantage of any extra time you may have before or after your cruise and explore this unique city. Whether you have a few hours or a few days to explore, Seattle is packed with exciting experiences and attractions. An award-winning cruise destination, there’s truly something for everyone – culture-lovers, foodies, shoppers, adventurers – to enjoy.

Where do I park for a Southampton cruise?

Hythe is your typical British seaside town and it’s definitely worth giving up a few hours of your day to enjoy. By car or public transport, the cruise port is conveniently located. If you're driving, take the A33, West Quay Road, and drive in the direction of the Western Docks.

Southampton has been home to one of Europe’s largest passenger ports with millions of people transiting through the port each year. Back in 1912, the most famous of travelers transited through Southampton on their way to America to board the ill-fated Titanic. The city has a SeaCity museum that provides visitors with the opportunity to learn more about Southampton’s history of the Titanic and the events onboard the now-sunken ocean liner. The National Express runs eight direct services daily between Gatwick and Southampton. Tickets should be pre-booked in advance, as they do sell out during the busy cruise season.

Most often, Southampton is used as an embarkation port rather than a port of call on an itinerary. Because of this, it’s very easy to combine your cruise with a land-based trip to the UK. You should also consider spending a few days in London before or after your cruise, especially those traveling internationally. Travelers can fly directly into Southampton via the Southampton International Airport.

Take a few minutes to wait and unwind down here if you're waiting for a family member or friend to park. Be sure to allow plenty of time during peak hours due to the potential for heavy traffic. Berth 46/47 is generally used by Carnival Corporation, which means that ships belonging to Cunard, Princess Cruises or P&O Cruises will normally be docked there. The Port of Seattle is already halfway through its 2021 cruise season, with more than 40 remaining sailings as of September 1. There was the usual air-con cough onboard, which I have now, not nice, starts with sore throat for 3 or 4 days and turns into a rattly cough . Tiffanys served light lunches which we enjoyed for a change from the main restaurant..We tried at all times to avoid the Conservatory at lunch time, don't care for self service rush in there. Al Fresco was ideal for breakfast where it was more relaxed and quieter than ss restaurant or main restaurant. You could have a bacon panini there, fruit, danishes and cereals, but no full cooked breakfast which was ok by us. Al Fresco was closed towards the end of the cruise when we had a Norovirus outbreak which was a shame.

BEST River Cruise Deals & Specials 2024

river cruise deals

Use the search options on the left to find your cruise now. Some lower-priced river cruise lines, such as Grand Circle and Vantage Deluxe Travel, offer discounts for groups of eight to 10 people. American tour operator Gate 1 Travel only offers one excursion per day and drinks only at dinner, which lower its river cruise costs. Two other river cruise lines that usually have a price point of under $350 a night include Vantage Deluxe World Travel, Grand Circle Cruise Line and Emerald Waterways (for more information, check out our Best Budget River Cruise Lines). However, river cruises can be expensive and finding a deal can mean the difference between taking that bucket-list adventure or sitting at home on the couch. Whether you're hoping to sail aboard a Viking River Cruise longship or AmaWaterways is more your speed, there are plenty of ways to score a bargain.

Viking River Cruises

Likewise, prices on river cruises that travel waterways in Russia can fluctuate, with some very good deals offered when public sentiment toward the country is less than favorable. While Crystal River Cruises will never be considered cheap, often the line will break up its 14-day sailings into two weeklong segments, which can make the luxury cruises more affordable. The most popular itineraries, the Rhine and Danube rivers, generally have the best prices overall, depending on when you go (see below). With our terrific discounts, you'll save even more off our low prices. Below is a comprehensive list of river cruise deals. A river cruise is not a cheap vacation, but it is possible to find deals, particularly if you are flexible about when and where you go.

Even if you do find a last-minute river cruise deal, keep in mind you'll need to get a plane ticket to go with it. These can be spendy if you're booking within a few months (particularly since many river cruises begin and end in different cities). Rather than lowering the overall fare on a cruise that's not selling well, river cruise lines will often drop the single supplement on some itineraries to fill cabins. Some river cruise ships do have solo cabins, which typically have a reduced price tag; these do sell out quickly, however. The best-priced river cruise itineraries can vary greatly from year to year, depending on world events and customer demand. Until recently, river cruises in France were priced very attractively, as some travelers still felt leery about traveling in the country.

If you're going in the offseason, you'll see the best prices about nine months before you go. Since 1984, Vacations To Go has helped more than 8 million vacationers save hundreds of millions of dollars on cruises. We can help you find the perfect river cruise at the lowest possible price. Finally, industry stalwart Viking River Cruises may have higher fares, but often offers two-for-one airfare or even cuts single supplements, making them an affordable option. For any cruises listed, Cruise Critic does not guarantee any specific rates or prices.

You can still find good prices for Bordeaux trips, although costs for Seine cruises have gone up, due to increased demand surrounding the 75th anniversary of D-Day in 2019. Finding a river cruise deal can make that lazy sailing up the Danube, the Seine, or the Mississippi that much sweeter. Tom Cruise's Worst Movie Ever, According To Rotten Tomatoes

cruise the movie

A consummate filmmaker involved in all aspects of production, Cruise has proven his versatility with the films and roles he chooses. The Cruise Season 1 takes viewers behind the scenes of Princess Cruises’ Regal Princess, Royal Princess, and Star Princess ships. Narrated by Hugh Bonneville, the reality series captures the daily lives, adventures, and challenges faced by crew members and passengers, promising an exclusive glimpse into the world of luxury cruising. A true story of survival, as a young couple's chance encounter leads them first to love, and then on the adventure of a lifetime as they face one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. In what is essentially “Grumpy Old Men” at sea, the comedic greats Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon embark on Holland America Line’s Westerdam of 1986 as dance hosts. Under the hilariously oppressive oversight of cruise director Gil Godwin (played by Brent Spiner), their antics play out on the since-retired and -scrapped ship, as well as, once again, the classic Queen Mary — now permanently docked in Long Beach, California — doubling as the Westerdam’s ballroom, casino, shops and more.

Top cast

Jungle Cruise is a 2021 American fantasy adventure film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a screenplay written by Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, and Michael Green. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, the film stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Édgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti. It tells the alternate history of the captain of a small riverboat who takes a scientist and her brother through a jungle in search of the Tree of Life while competing against a German expedition, and cursed conquistadors. Following a year of post-production and a year of further delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jungle Cruise was finally released in the United States on July 30, 2021, simultaneously in theaters and digitally via Disney+ Premier Access. The film received mixed reviews and grossed $221 million worldwide against a production budget of $200 million.

'Cruise' Release Dates

Most recently, Cruise was the first actor to receive The Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation’s Pioneer of the Year Award in 2018. Look no further than Netflix for a collection of movies that take place on cruise ships. “In Love and Deep Water” is yet another recent foreign film (Japanese) dubbed in English, but this one is a romantic comedy set on MSC Cruises’ contemporary MSC Bellissima. There are an estimated 34 films and 12 television shows that are set on cruise ships – and that likely doesn’t even include all the fictional depictions of cruise travel, let alone documentaries and reality TV programs from “The Bachelorette” to “The Real Love Boat” that have been filmed aboard.

Five friends set sail and their yacht is overturned by a strange and sudden storm. A mysterious ship arrives to rescue them, and what happens next cannot be explained. An apparently random bar fight makes Jack realize that someone is attempting to strong-arm him into dropping his investigation. In contrast, the other victims served as a cover-up in order to make it look like a mass shooting of victims merely picked at random, rather than attention being focused on just Oline Archer's murder. Jack is later framed for the murder of Sandy, the young woman who was paid to instigate the brawl. Jack meets Barr's defense attorney, Helen Rodin, Alex Rodin's daughter.

After years of endless fighting, Frank trapped his vengeful comrades in the cave away from the river, petrifying them. Failing to find the Tree, Frank remained tied to the river, becoming a tour guide and building a village. Partially revived, Aguirre agrees to bring Joachim the arrowhead in exchange for lifting the curse when he finds the flowers. Joachim diverts the river to flood the cave and Aguirre and his conquistadors are reanimated while fused with rainforest elements. The conquistadors attack the tribe and Aguirre stabs Frank through the heart. Lily flees with the artifact, chased by conquistadors, but the jungle vines pull them back to the river, preventing her capture.

Just as “The Love Boat” is considered the quintessential cruise TV show, James Cameron’s 1997-blockbuster “Titanic” will probably be forever recognized as the most ubiquitous movie to depict an ocean liner. Or in Spanish, dubbed in English, is “High Seas,” another mystery series — think concealed Nazi gold and curious onboard deaths — set on a fictitious 1940s ocean liner inspired by the SS Normandie and Cunard’s Queen Mary. An inevitable falling out occurs between the men, and Brian decides to go to Jamaica to make his dreams come true, where he meets Jordan (Elizabeth Shue), whom he treats rather horribly, but his actions are painted as flawed as opposed to being deliberate transgressions. This is where "Cocktail" feels the most grating, as Brian is intended as a protagonist worth rooting for, but only comes off as an obtuse jerk, incapable of treating women like human beings or introspecting about his innermost desires. This aspect would have worked if the narrative rooted Brian as an antagonistic figure who indulged in morally soulless escapades for the sake of making money — something which Cruise could have embodied perfectly, like that of his shrewd, unhinged character in "Collateral."

The Cruise Season 1 is a British reality TV series offering an insider’s view into Princess Cruises’ operations. The show introduces viewers to the dynamic lives of crew members and passengers, exploring the intricacies of luxury cruising with a focus on the Regal Princess, Royal Princess, and Star Princess ships. Fans can expect an engaging blend of behind-the-scenes operations, personal narratives, and the unique experiences of those on board.

That's what Bennett Miller did--directing, producing and photographing "The Cruise." Levitch (who has now retired and gives private tours) became a legend in the New York bus tour universe in the mid-1990s; customers, far from being confused by his curious rants, recommended his tours to one another. You can see buildings anywhere, but Levitch is the kind of sight perhaps only New York could engender. After serving in the army, Brian Flanagan (Cruise) arrives in New York City with ambitious dreams, eager to make quick money after bagging a cushy job. However, dreams often shatter, and he has to make do with bartending by night while attending business school by day, with experienced bartender Doug Coughlin (Bryan Brown) teaching him how to flair and impress patrons. The true story of Captain Richard Phillips and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the U.S.-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years. Jason Voorhees is accidentally awakened from his watery grave and ends up stalking a ship full of graduating high-school students headed to Manhattan, New York.

There is good reason for this overwhelmingly negative consensus, as "Cocktail" feels like an unsavory product of its time, what with its tendency to lean into sexism for laughs, or an overt reliance on hyperconsumerism. Iffy themes and treatment of certain subject matter aside, the film's narrative feels hollow, where no amount of charm is enough to fill this gaping void. It is an unrealistic fantasy that fails to entertain even with the suspension of disbelief, and Cruise's natural charisma feels squandered on something so empty. However, despite the film's often irritating lack of self-awareness, "Cocktail" deserves a viewing due to its hyperspecific appeal to a time devoid of responsibilities, with Cruise playing an exceedingly suave bartender who feels progressively irredeemable, but suddenly gains a saint's conscience by the end. A group of heavily armed hijackers board a luxury ocean liner in the South Pacific Ocean to loot it, only to do battle with a series of large-sized, tentacled, man-eating sea creatures who had already invaded the ship. Plans for a feature film based on the Jungle Cruise ride began in 2004.

Unveil the Power of Nature: Baking Soda and Lemon Juice for Radiant Hair Transformation

Unveil the Power of Nature: Baking Soda and Lemon Juice for Radiant Hair Transformation

Baking soda and lemon juice form a natural hair dye remover that has gained popularity due to its effectiveness and affordability. Baking soda, chemically known as sodium bicarbonate, is a mild abrasive that helps to lift hair dye from the hair shaft, while lemon juice, rich in citric acid, acts as a natural bleach and lightens the color of the dye.

This method is particularly beneficial for those looking to remove unwanted hair dye or correct a color mishap. It is gentler than chemical hair dye removers, which can damage hair, and is also free of harsh chemicals, making it suitable for all hair types. Additionally, baking soda and lemon juice are readily available and inexpensive, making this a cost-effective solution.
